LUCID aims to clear and de-clutter your desk and studio space. The lamp aims for a purely functional design, its shape determined by the basic requirements of the user. Its light source is a 100w halogen bulb which plugs directly into the mains, the bulb held in optimal position by a single piece of bent bar steel. The steel structure is self-supporting using a cantilever, meaning that no glues or fixing are required. The whole structure sits on a CNC machined slab of teak, providing protection to the surface the lamp is placed on. The pen hoop is also purely functional, offering the minimum required to support stationary in a standing position.
